How to Burn Fat at Home?

How to Burn Fat at Home?

A lot of people want to lose weight, but the hard reality is, not everyone has the time or money to sign up for that gym membership and actually use it or sustain it every month. This is totally relatable if you are a mother with kids to attend to and bills to pay off, am I right? Even if you are single, work and life can get in the way, causing you to neglect your health and fitness. For most people who do not have the luxury of time or extra cash to enlist in a fitness center, this post is dedicated for you. Today, I want to share with you how to burn fat and lose weight right at the comforts of your own home.

1. Start Your Day with a Stretch!

When you wake up, your muscles are still at rest. Jumpstart your day and fat-burning machine a.k.a. your body by waking your muscles (and yourself) up by stretching. Did you know that stretching uses up a significant amount of energy? So, not only do you burn fat, but also enhance your flexibility.

2. Exercise!

Hey, wait a minute, I thought you said I didn’t have to go to the gym!

Well, you are not going to get arrested if you exercise outside the gym. A brisk walk or a jog in your neighborhood or the local park for a good half hour will do you a whole lot of good. Instead of sleeping in, wake up a little earlier, put on your trainers, and just walk. This may not seem a lot to you, but trust me, this activity, when done consistently, can do a lot for you.

For those who want something more challenging, then I recommend you try HIIT or high-intensity interval training. Here is my favorite HIIT routine.

3. Clean the House

Nothing else can make you work out a sweat like cleaning the house. This is hitting two bird with one stone - you get to squeeze in a workout, and at the same time, strike an item off your to-do list. Sweep the floors, vacuum, do the laundry, whatever it is that you do, as long as it keeps you moving, do it.

4. Walk to Shop

Another arduous task mothers have to do on a regular basis is doing grocery shopping. This can especially be difficult with you have your little tots in tow. But, let’s look at it this way: You get to shop and burn!

I especially like going to the grocery because I get to take my sweet time and just walk, walk, and walk. I love how I can do cardio and a little weight training because I also push the cart.

5. Don’t Forget to Stand

When you’re tired from all the chores and work, sitting is so alluring. I mean, putting your feet up, going through social media or online shopping, or putting on that newest show on Netflix - these sound so heavenly for a tired person. But, do not forget to break that sedentary activity by standing and walking around in your house. Did you know that by just standing for half an hour, you get to burn at least 22 calories? Yep, standing doesn’t sound so bad now, huh?

6. Hop On a Bike!

When was the last time you rode a bicycle? If you are only going to a relatively near area like a convenience or drug store, why not ride the bike? If you cycle for at least 30 minutes, with an average speed of 12 to 13.9 mph, you will have burned 366 calories by the time you finish. So, yes, reunite with that bike.

7. Play a Sport

There are sports that you can play right in your backyard like badminton or frisbee. Invite family or friends and make a day out of it. You get to burn at least 200 calories and spend some time with your loved ones.

8. Wash Your Car

Want to save money and burn fat at the same time? Instead of getting your car washed, why don’t you wash it yourself? This can also be a fun family activity or quality time with your significant other.

9. Move Things Around

Is that shelf in the corner bothering you? Maybe it’s time to re-arrange your furniture. What better time than now. This can also be a good opportunity to deep clean the house and get rid of all the clutter. All that lifting, pushing, and cleaning is going to burn you approximately 266 calories.

Do all these things (and more) and use Nutra Botanics' Organic Coconut Oil Softgels for that much-needed energy boost!
